Rainy Day

These photos were actually taken the day before the move. It rained all day of course and made me think it was going to rain while I moved. I got some great photos though.

Okay, finally I have my cable and internet and I have some moving day photos for you all from Saturday May 15. We started out by shopping in Cort's parent's basement, then to Courtney's to get my stuff then to house! Thanks everyone for all the help!!! It meant a lot and made the move smooth and mostly stress free. I have more photos from that weekend and some from this past weekend that I'll share with you over the next few days. Enjoy! Happy Birthday Willme!!!

Getting ready to go to bed but I wanted to let everyone know that things are still going well. Things are starting to settle and I am beginning to feel at home here. I love this place!!!!! I also want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILLME!!! I can't believe that you are 15 today!!!!!! I suddenly feel older than I did yesterday! I love that are a night owl. I love how grown up and smart you are. I love your sense of humor. I love you!!!! (Gift is on its way, I know that's what is really important to you;)) Hope you have a wonderful birthday and a great year! Can't wait to see you in July! Bath Day

The cats got bathed tonight. It's been too long since they've had baths and they got complacent ;). My new landlord didn't want animals in the house and I was upfront with him about them and he's making an exception for me which I really appreciate! I want to keep them clean and groomed while there. They hate baths and they make noises that sound like I'm torturing them. I wish I could put audio with these photos. Anyway, big move Saturday!!! May Flowers...and Snow

I walked out of work today to find a dusting of snow covering the ground. It is the middle of May, right? When I got to the apartment in Littleton (which is where I took all the photos), it was actually still snowing a bit. I hope the weather clears up for the weekend move! I do have to admit the snow covered blooms are beautiful but I hate to think of how many flowers will be lost to this snow. Oh well...that's Colorado for you. Hope everyone is having a great week!!!

This is Going to be a Good Week!

So I signed a lease on a house in Denver today!!! I'm so excited!!! It's a great place in a great neighborhood for a great price. I move in Saturday and now I can finally start the next chapter in my life. I'll be away from all the drama going on in the place I live right now. It was great at first but it's just gotten out of hand in the last few weeks. I won't elaborate but I told most of you about my week last week. I'll just say that in one of my previous posts I said that Jason and Courtney got on my last nerve...they took it to a whole new level this week and I'm done with them. They are both great people on their own but something about the two of them together. It's volatile to say the least. And stress I don't need. It doesn't belong to me and I don't want it. So happy to be out of here this weekend!!!!! The place is a 3 bedroom with a big fenced backyard, deck, patio and front porch. It has a finished basement with a wood burning stove and a bar. I'll post photos after I move Saturday. Can't wait! For today, just some pics of the cats. It's a nice day and it's not going to last. Chance of snow later this week. More to come soon. Thanks for all the positive thoughts!! It really did help. I got a full day of sleep, had a great night at work and feel much better about things this morning. I had a great birthday!! The only thing missing was my family (and a mint chocolate ice cream cake) but I know they were all there in spirit! Cort and I went out with friends Friday night, spent a great day together Saturday, then spent a few hours with Connor on Sunday before he had to go home. Then we went to the dinner where I got serenaded by the opera singer. Cort got me a new robe and slippers and a gift certificate to Victoria's Secret (and a few of my favorite lip glosses from there). It really was a good weekend despite my very minor breakdown Monday morning. Thanks for letting me vent to you all! I didn't get too many pictures but here's a few. I love you guys!! (and don't stop sending the good vibes yet. I could still use them!)

I forgot to tell you all the Jason's surgery went well. Apparently his back was way worse than they thought it was going to be so he can't even do rehab for the next six weeks. And he gets to wear this sexy brace! He walked like this when he first hurt it because it was less painful and we all laughed at him for it (sorry J). This was the day after his surgery and he reverted to his funny walk for a bit but he's feeling better now.

This glass of beer was in the fridge when we got up to the house in Bailey on Saturday. I had to laugh because I knew exactly who it had to have been! The answer is Cort. And the last time we were there was when we moved me out!

It's not a birthday without a shot (or maybe two) of tequila! Cheers! To the best year yet and many more to come!! To a great 28! Thanks for all the birthday wishes! They meant a lot to me! I love you guys!

Bad Awful Day

Do you guys remember the book Grover's Bad Awful Day? Things kept going wrong and going wrong until he cried at school because his mom put strawberry jelly on his sandwich instead of grape. That's how I feel right now. I'm about to go to bed so I'm at the end of Sarah's bad awful day thank goodness but everything that happened today are things that will still be there for me to deal with tomorrow. Courtney and Jason just got on my last nerve today. Long story but let's just say they don't tend to think about other people when they make decisions. Cort and I made the best of it and we went to a nice dinner which was the best part of my day. I was serenaded by an opera singer for my birthday. It was great! Then I tried to get some sleep last night since Cort was sleeping and the cats were just awful all night. They kept me up pretty much all night. Then this morning Cort and I grabbed breakfast before he had to go to work and my car is making a bad noise. If it's what I think it is, it's not going to be cheap to get fixed. On top of that I'm worried about the house selling, I'm worried about money (as I always am), and I have mail coming to me threatening to report me to collections on a meter violation that I didn't receive on a car that no longer belongs to me but is still registered in my name (don't even get me started). So the wrong flavor of jelly is lurking around the corner to push me over the edge. I know things will look a little better after I get some sleep but I can already tell it's going to be a long week. Send me some good vibes this week!!!!

This is just something that made me happy and it still makes me smile when I look at it. Everyone contributed and this just kept building over the whole month of April. I had to take a picture of it before I erased it to put up May. I have a few pics from my birthday to share the next time I post, I just had to get all that off my chest! Good night!
