Christmas

I was really bad and did not take one photo while I was home for Christmas this year (unless you count a couple I took on my phone, which I will try to retrieve later). I'm going to tell you about my Denver Christmas. Russ, Eric and I decided to meet and exchange gifts on Christmas Eve morning since I was leaving the next day after I got off work. We met at my house and exchanged gifts and had a nice visit. Then Eric saw the popcorn kernels in a clear jar on my counter and asked if he could make carmel corn. I reluctantly agreed (he is a good cook but can sometimes be dangerous in the kitchen, plus I was tired). He then proceeded to burn the popcorn so bad my kitchen and living room were engulfed in a cloud of smoke. So, he figured he would air it all out by propping my back door open. I came around the corner to see all of this and immediately knew that Minnie was outside. She takes any and all opportunities to flee the confines of the house. I had to coax her out from under the back porch with a can of tuna. Eric was then temporarily banned from the kitchen but we all had a really long laugh over the circumstances...and Eric would kill me if he knew I was telling you all about this. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and is getting 2011 off to a good start. 2011 is getting off to a really rough start here in Colorado. Not so much for me but for many of my friends. Let's hope things turn around quickly!

Hi everyone

Hi everyone!!!! Just wanted to do a quick post since it has been too long since my last one. My trip home was very good. It was awesome to just relax and hang out with family. I had a great time. Unfortunately, it was much harder to come back to Denver this time than it ever has been. I have been very busy with work and everything else but I am homesick and missing Ryan and everyone else like crazy. I haven't taken any new photos and I don't have any from home either so here is a couple good ones from a little while ago. First ski trip of the season in mid November. Megan is a friend that I used to work with at St. Anthony's.

Us midwestern girls living it up in the mountains!
Megan and I after an epic first day. We skied until they shut down the lifts it was so good!
