Worked Friday night but had a nice sit outside before leaving. I forgot to mention my accident on the way to IL. I hit a deer in Nebraska. Luckily it was a small deer and it only caused body damage on the driver's side. I still made it to IL and back to CO. I stopped at an automotive shop called Ron's and they were awesome. They moved a car out they were working on to look at my car. They checked for any damage that would be a danger for me and then they refused to let me pay them! Thanks!! I have a few pics of my car and some pics I took outside before I left for work. Today it's HOT!! It's 90 here in Bailey and we are heading down to Denver for a Rockies game. They, at least, better win! They lost yesterday and now the wildcard race is down to one game. Pics of the game tomorrow.

Thursday

Today has been very laid back (much needed). I made some sun tea, worked on an invitation of sorts and enjoyed the deck. I had a visit from a hummingbird and managed to get a good photo the third or fourth time he came around. Back to work tomorrow for one night then I have the weekend. I think we are going to try to make the rockies game Saturday night. Later everyone!

Tonight

I had the chance to go to work tonight but I wanted to take a day to recover a little. I did work last night and just felt shredded when I woke up today. I was exhausted heading straight back to work after driving across the country. Then this morning we took the car to get an estimate. Hopefully that will all be taken care of shortly, like it never happened. =) It has been a beautiful night. I got a great pic of the sunset (are you guys tired of sunset pictures from my deck yet). I wish I could capture how it really looked outside. The air was glowing pink. It was beautiful. I am now going to take it easy tonight, gat a good night's sleep and enjoy my day off tomorrow with Jeremy.

I made a surprise trip to IL this past weekend to hang out with my family. Everyone was getting together to golf and celebrate Jake's birthday. I had a great time! I forgot how much I love golfing, especially with my siblings. Thanks everyone for letting me come along!! It was an exhausting trip but totally worth it! I love you guys and can't wait to see you all again soon!!!!

Fun Friday

I actually took these pics Monday night. Tuesday is garbage day and this box, which has been our food box for road trips, was finally getting thrown out. It got to wet with our camping adventure. Jeremy and I were eating and about to leave for work when I glanced at the garbage and noticed that our food box had graffiti that I hadn't seen before. I wanted to get a pick since our much loved and now personalized food box was heading for the trash the next day. It's always nice to get little surprises like that. I made me think about Liz and camping and how nice it was having you all here and how much I miss you! Thanks Liz!!

So camping in the rain...

It was not so bad at first but the next morning...cold, wet, crabby.

Chrissy was great and made a mountain man breakfast even though a wet sleeping bag had her an Butch up at 0300. Thanks Chrissy!!!! We thought about toughing it out for awhile but I looked down at Grid and he was wet and shivering and I was like "we're going home." So we did. I made pies while everyone napped or rested. We had steaks that night and sat on the deck for awhile enjoying the sun that decided to come out later that afternoon. It was so much fun and I'm glad we went. I hadn't been camping in two years but I hope to go again very soon!

Me rockin out to Lady Gaga. I wanted to save the memory of how silly I was being.

I know I said I'd do more camping but I wanted to take a break and post some pics that I took on Tuesday night. I was on call for work and had some gross bananas that I bought thinking the kids would eat them while they were here and they did not. So, I whipped out Martha's book that Chrissy got me and she told me how to make banana bread. It turned out great. I actually put chocolate chips in the bread. A girl I worked with brought in banana chocolate chip bread and it was to die for. Who would have thought? So, I tried it out and it is delightful. I obviously did not grease the bottom of the pan very well. I was listening to my headphones the whole time too while I did dishes, baked and cleaned. I took a pic because I was laughing at myself that if anyone stopped by they would just die. I was singing and dancing to music only I could hear. I took a pic of myself to remember how ridiculous I was. But really, cleaning goes so much faster with Lady Gaga ; ) The night was gorgeous so there's outside photos and ones of the animals wishing they could come and go as they please. Hope everyone had a happy Tuesday and Wednesday and next will be the final installment of camping with Chrissy.
