Friday

Today has been lazy. I just got out of bed about an hour ago, I have to work tonight. It is raining...again. I FINALLY got my car back today!!! Yay!!! I really missed it. So I'll be driving to work in my car...in the rain. Oh well. Oh yeah, and I got my awesome, comfy Teva's in the mail today. Sandal season is officially on. Hope everyone has a happy Friday (even though it's Monday for me). Enjoy the few random pics I took today!

We had the day off today. After work this morning we went to breakfast then Jordan came up to the house with us. He starts school in on July 6th and wanted to hang out and do some four wheel exploration before he starts. I didn't take any pics but I did finally hang my new art work in the bathroom and took pics of that. I bought it when Kate was here and just hung it up ;) This lady does some really neat modern art using pieces of nature. This piece I bought is called Tree of Life. It's a piece of 2x6 and the tree is made out of nails. I love it!! Hope you guys do too. Check out her website too.

Monday

Hope everyone had a wonderful Monday ;). It was a beautiful day. No rain and it got up to 80 degrees. This evening Grid and I went for a walk. It was cool and nice. We had a beautiful sunset, unfortunately I forgot the camera. Here are some pics of the little book I'm working on. I finally got all my stuff out, printed some pictures and just got started. I still have a couple pages to finish but it's coming along. Hope you like it!

Happy Father's Day!

Still working like a crazy person. Plan to until vacation July 3rd. Just want to say Happy Father's Day to all dads that are reading!! (Especially my dad if he's reading) Hope you all enjoy your day however you spend it. Sorry I can't be home Dad but I hope it's a great day anyway! I love you!

Sorry everyone, it's been a busy week. I have been working the last three nights (I'm actually at work now). We took my car to the dealership yesterday to have a few things looked at. My radiator was leaking fluid and we replaced the cap and it continued to leak. Also the check engine light has been on and off for the last couple of months. It was really frustraing because the woman that checked the us in acted like she couldn't find our extended warranty information and was very rude. We were exhausted, of course, because it was after a night shift and she was insisting that even though we had the information that it wasn't a Ford extended warranty and we were going to have to pay full price. Anyway, the mechanic called later and said that it was all covered by our extened warranty so no worries but I was a little upset for a day about possibly having to pay $200 just for diagnostic before they even touched the car! So anyway, new radiator and my gas gage is acting up causing the check engine light. Nothing major! When I get home today I will post a few pics of my car. I have pics of Jake, Kate and I when I first got it and maybe a few other pics from our graduation party. Hope everyone had a great Friday even though it's not really Friday for me. I plan to work the rest of the weekend if they need me. Enjoy your weekend all you 9-5ers!!!

I just thought today I'd share some of the wildflowers growing in our yard. The weather here has been gloomy for the last few weeks but it has brought with it a lot of rain. Unfortunately, the ground has been too wet for me to plant anything yet but I have been enjoying the wildflowers and my lilac bush is finally about to bloom! Enjoy your Tuesday!

Today, my nephew, Leif, is turning 4! It seems like just yesterday he was born. Today's post is celebrating Leif and his four short years. Happy Birthday!!! I hope that it is a fun one! I love you very much and I wish we could be there to celebrate with you. I am so happy to be your aunt and look forward to celebrating many more birthdays with you!!

Having a lazy Sunday around the house. I finally broke out all my paint and scrapbooking stuff and I'm going to play around with it all today. Jordan gave Gridley a dog bed and I have pictures of him thoroughly enjoying his new bed. Oh, the life of a dog!

Saturday

Just got home from dropping Kate off at the airport. Her flight leaves in about 5 min. She was a little anxious this being her first flight. Everything went smoothly it sounds like and Mom and Dad will be waiting at Midway to pick her up. Today's post is for Katie, my little sister. I love you very much and love having you out here. I'm am going to miss you until next time!! You're welcome back anytime. See you in August!
